FULFILLMENT OF RESOLUTION

In Saka 1692 Phalgun Krishna Chaturdahsi(14th day of dark fortnight), it was the death anniversary of both, his Guru Shri Vipranath swami and the great pious man Sambhaji Raje Bhosle. That day Saint Tukavipra completed the task of composing 100 crores of hymns. It was started by great Saint Namdev. And the task completion did by saint Tukavipra at the confluence of river Krishna, Venna and Kakudri, the symbolic union of Lord Brahma Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahesh.
Saint Tukavipra described this function in following words.

Hundred crores hymns completed today
This hymn is proof for that
the task is completed at Mahuli Sangam
Mahuli is confluence of river Krishna, Venna and Kakudri
In the same manner Word Vitthal is also
union of Lord Brahma Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahesh.
The task is contributed by Namdeva and his 13 family members
Tukaram is fifteenth & Tukavipra's number is sixteen
Tukavipra’s incarnation is due to blessing of Guru
I am experiencing this pleasure and very different feelings
due to this task completion, only because of My Guru’s blessings

There are sixteen partners of this great task... Saint Namdev and his thirteen family members, (they composed 94 crores and sixty lakhs hymns) Saint Tukaram (Dehu) (he composed five crores 38 lakhs and 75 thousand hymns) and Saint Tukavipra (he composed the remaining 1 lakh 25 thousand hymns).

GRAND WELCOME

After completing composition of 100 crores hymns Saint Tukavipra left for Pandharpur as usual to celebrate Asshadhi Ekadashi. He wished to dedicate the spiritual work of his three births to Lord Vitthal. He reached the village Vakhri with group of devotees on Adhik Aashadh Dashmi of Saka 1693. Lord Vitthal was waiting very eagerly at that place for saint Tukavipra to come. Lord Vitthal hugged him with love as soon as saint Tukavipra reached Vakhri. Eyes of both God and saint Tukavipra were full of tears. All Gods and Goddesses gathered in the sky to view this memorable occasion. King of Gods Lord Indra showered flowers on when Lord vitthala hugged saint Tukavipra with love.

Even now also, to feel the experience of that great unforgettable meeting and pray that they could dedicate their work to Lord Vitthal with stoical mind people going to Pandharpur for Aahsadhi Ekadashi go to Vakhri first and pay their respect to the footprints of lord Vitthal. Then only they enter Pandharpur.

SOCIAL AWAKING

After dedicating the work to Lord Vitthal Saint Tukavipra wished to go to Kashi. But Saint Sopandev gave him instructions in dream to have a round in the area of river Karha for guiding people about the devotion and teach them about the same. Tukavipra obeyed him and did same during Saka 1693-1704. (1771-1782). Main political happenings during this period were,

Thorle Madhavrao Peshva was suffering from continious health problems from 1771 and then he died in 1772 at very young age of 27 years. Raghunathrao murdered Narayanrao - the third son of NanaSaheb(Balaji Bajirao) through sentinel. This resulted very unstable political situation. Crowning of Naraynraos son(junior Madhavrao) became absolutely necessary to improve this situation. For this 12 political people came together in 1774 and did the task successfully.
As saint Tukavipra is the saint of the same period and his contribution for improving political situation never can be denied, although it is not mentioned in the history.

DISCIPLE – PRECEPTOR MEET

Saint Tukavipra returned to Satara in Saka 1699. He met Baburao Purandare. Meanwhile Baburao and Gopikabai had a son born in Saka 1694. He was dumb. Saint Tukavipra reminded them about his promise. Both of them handed over their 5 year old dumb son to Tukavipra with mixed feelings of happiness due to sacrifice and sorrow due to departing from the son. Saint Tukavipra took that five year old boy to Pandharpur. He did his thread ceremony near Eagle Pole ( 'Garud Stambh' )in temple of Lord Vitthal and blessed him with Gayatri Mantra.

The powerful Gayatri Mantra blessed by Guru highly empowered of yogic power affected so magically that the dumb child started following his Guru by chanting Onkar. This child became Saint Tukavipra's favorite disciple and the first person of our Vipra dynasty namely Shri Pandurang alias Bapusaheb Vipra.

Saint Tukavipra travelled all over Maharashtra during Saka 1704-1710 (1782-1788) and composed 'Abhang Bhagwat 'during the same time. He has described junior Madhavrao Peshve as 'king Parikshit in this Bhagwat.
